Sherrie has worked as a veterinary technician at Country Animal Care since 2009. She has been a veterinary technician since 1990 and has gained extensive experience working at several animal emergency hospitals. Her experience is very diverse and includes working with exotic animals. She has worked with everything from skunks to kangaroos and had spent a summer spaying and neutering tigers. She is originally from Santa Paula, CA but now lives in Pinion Hills with her Queensland Heeler named "Chase" and her horse named "Angel". When not at work Sherrie enjoys hiking, horseback riding and camping.
Paul B. Mickelson, DVM graduated from the University of California, Davis-School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. After completing veterinary school Dr. Mickelson began working at Country Animal Clinic and was mentored by Dr. Wagner. Dr. Mickelson then went to practice at Small Animal Hospital in Riverside for 14 years. Dr. Mickelson returned to Country Animal Care in early 2013 and has taken over the practice. He lives in Redlands with his wife Rachel, and two sons Benjamin and Ryan. The Mickelson's enjoy a very active lifestyle. They share their home with two cats and a chocolate lab named Trevor.
Erin is our lead receptionist and has been working at Country Animal Care since 2010. She began working with us as an intern from the Serrano Regional Occupational Program. We are very happy to have her positive energy in the office. Erin owns two horses, Skippy, a 16 year old Arabian she has had for nine years and Gracie, a five year old Quarab she rescued. Both are her world! She also has a dog, Ally who is a 2 year old Border Collie mix that she also rescued. Erin loves horsemanship and during her free time she trains her horses as well as teaches kids how to ride. She also competes in barrel racing, gymkhana and extreme cowboy racing.
Sharvel has worked as a veterinary technician at Country Animal Care since 2006. She has a huge love for animals and loves helping them. She currently has two horses "Dona B" and "Pinkie Pie", and three crazy dogs, Jack her Queensland Heeler, Ace her Aussie, and Pixie her Doxie. In her free time, Sharvel enjoys riding her horses, barrel racing, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors as long as she is spending time with her family and her dogs.

Nancy is the office manager at Country Animal Care and began working here in 2008. She oversees and assists with the day to day operations and keeps things running smoothly. Nancy really enjoys working with our great staff and experiencing the pet interactions. When Nancy isn't at work she enjoys spending time and working on her ranch. She has registered angus cattle and enjoys riding and showing cutting horses as well as spending time with her dogs and cats.
Jeanne has been a receptionist at Country Animal Care since 2005. She began working here after her girls went to high school and she found she had extra time on her hands. She has three dogs- Chloe, Scooter, and Miley, and three cats- Hanna, Sunflower and Toby. she loves to workout, hang out with friends and family and hike. she has been happily married for 23 years and has two daughters.
